Stallions Elect New Representatives

May 2, 2023

One year after the students of Stenstrom Elementary School established its own society and elected its first leaders, voters returned to the polls to choose who they wanted to represent them during the next school year. 447 citizens of MicrOviedo turned out to cast their ballot for the next President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer of their MicroSociety.

"It was an honor to partner with Stenstrom last year to conduct their inaugural election for MicrOviedo, and an even greater honor to be invited back for year two," Kyndle Cobb, Supervisor of Elections Public Information Officer said. "Not only do the citizens receive a safe, secure, and accurate election, but it also allows our office to continue to publicly demonstrate our election equipment and prove just how Seminole County remains the gold standard for elections."

MicroSociety is a nonprofit organization with more than 300,000 students participating in countries around the world. Stenstrom Elementary is the only Central Florida school within the MicroSociety organization. MicroSociety students experience improved academic achievement and improved attendance, behavior and attitude toward school. With school as society, kids are challenged to discover who they are and where they fit in while making academic connections to work that is meaningful to them.
